During these uncertain times, the Swedish Historical Society Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the Midsommar 2020 festival and all remaining event and tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first and primary thought in this decision is the health and safety of guests, participants and volunteers attending annual events.
Cancellation of annual events brings both disappointment and financial stain, as our annual events serve as fundraisers for the Erlander Home Museum and Nordic Cultural Center. It is only with the support of the community through donations that the Society can continue it's mission for the preservation and celebration of Swedish heritage in the Rockford area.
Included in each donation is yearlong advertising, print marketing in quarterly newsletters, digital marketing, business features, and VIP passes for a tailored sponsorship package to suit each sponsor’s needs. Digital marketing includes local and international exposure, with activity both in the U.S. and in Sweden.
It is through donations that the Swedish Historical Society can continue maintain and strengthen the proud Swedish heritage in our great community.
