Haight Village Lecture by Gary Anderson
The Haight Village neighborhood has had a rich history of contributing to Rockfords growth and development since its inception in 1835. Its residents were involved in many of Rockford’s enterprises and their contributions were significant. These homes are more than just a house. They have many stories to tell that not only includes the architecture but also about the people that built them and lived there. These stories will be told through photos and historic pictures in a power point presentation that will enrich these great stories. This is a precursor of a book Gary Anderson is beginning to write about the history of Haight Village, its architecture, the people that lived there, and the contributions they made to Rockford’s development.
