The Nordic Cultural Center, located in historic Haight Village and surrounded by  gardens, is available for rental to make your event special! Whether you’re envisioning a cozy indoor gathering or an event that spills out into the gardens, the Nordic Cultural Center offers an inviting space that will make a lasting impression on you and your guests.

Rental Details
  • Flexible Rental Times: Rentals are available in two-hour minimum time slots, which can be extended by the hour to accommodate your specific needs. This flexibility allows you to design an event that perfectly fits your schedule.
  • Member Presence Required: All members renting the Nordic Cultural Center must be present on the day of the event to support a smooth experience.
  • Setup and Cleanup: Please note that all event setup and cleanup should be completed within the reserved rental time to respect the schedules of other guests and events.

Facility Guidelines
The Nordic Cultural Center is committed to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and respectful environment for all guests. To help achieve this, the following guidelines are in place:
  • No Smoking: Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is strictly prohibited on the premises and inside the buildings to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.
  • Animal Policy: While service animals are permitted inside the building, other pets are not allowed indoors.

Approval Process
​Rental requests are reviewed by our dedicated staff and board members to ensure availability and alignment with our community events. Please note that all museum-hosted events have scheduling priority.
