About the Event:
We are gearing up to host our next Book Club & Fika on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Nordic Cultural Center!
All folks are invited (no need to be member of SHS)!

Join us as we sip on some hot drinks and talk about the book's characters, themes, plot, and everything else book related.

We will be reading "The Ice Princess" by Camilla Läckberg.

We recommend having the book finished for our meeting. However, if you didn't get a chance to finish the book, we still want to see you there!

RSVP by emailing [email protected] or calling (815)963-5559.
$5 suggested donation at the door to cover fika!

About the Book:
This book is categorized as a crime thriller. If that is not a genre you enjoy, no worries! We will be excited to see you next time!

Where Can I Get the Book?
This book is available online, at local bookstores, and through the Rockford Public Library. The audiobook is also a great option!

Synopsis of the Plot:
Returning to her hometown of Fjallbacka after the funeral of her parents, writer Erica Falck finds a community on the brink of tragedy. The death of her childhood friend, Alex, is just the beginning. Her wrists slashed, her body frozen in an ice-cold bath, it seems that she has taken her own life.
While her interest of her friend's death grows into an obsession, local detective Patrik Hedstrom is following his own suspicions about the case. But it is only when they start working together that the truth begins to emerge about a small town with a deeply disturbing past.
